Leading European caterers gather in Porto

From Sunday July 24th to Tuesday July 26th, the Summer General Assembly of the European Party Caterer Association (EPCAS) took place in Porto, Portugal. At the invitation of Grupo Ibersol & Silva Carvalho Catering (EPCAS member), 59 attendees representing 36 companies from 12 European countries attended an inspiring 3-day programme, revolving around the theme ‘Concepts & Formulas’.
The programme started with a welcome reception at Porto Palácio Congress Hotel & Spa and a company presentation on Grupo Ibersol by António Pinto de Sousa and Alberto Teixeira.
Besides keynote speaker Frank Lindner of Shoot my food/Food Inspiration (NL) on food trends, Best Practices by Pierre Smits (Koninklijke Van den Boer Groep, NL) and Horst Gallbauer (Gallbauer Event- & Officecatering, AU) and an interactive session on the European Event Catering Academy (initiative of EPCAS), a tour, tasting and dinner at Caves Ferreira took place. The attendees also visited the Superbock Beer House (from the Unicer Brewery) and had an exclusive dinner at Clube Universitário do Porto (new venue of Silva Carvalho Catering).
The Assembly was concluded with a 6 Bridges Boat Tour and a closing lunch at the Alfȃndega Congress Centre.
